Convergence, accuracy, and regression — run the checks that tell you whether a result deserves to be in a report.
Convergence
Watch the residual fall and the energy balance close. A nonlinear solve that stalls is a nonlinear solve you cannot trust, and the convergence panel says so before you quote the number.
Accuracy and regression
Compare against stored reference cases and check that a change to the solver did not silently move a previously validated answer. Regression baselines are anchored to independent closed forms, not to the previous run.
